2024 CofC Bonner Leader Program Application

Access to Education, Opportunity to Serve

Bonner Leaders are outstanding students who commit themselves to leadership and professional development through service and making positive changes across campus and in the community. This national four-year service-based scholarship program pairs real-life work experiences in Charleston nonprofit organizations with powerful leadership development training and education that helps students transition from volunteers to leaders in their community.
All Bonner students commit to eight or more hours of community service per week through an internship and two hours of personal, professional and leadership training per week with other students in the program.

The first group of 7 Bonner Leaders began the program in September 2008. Each year, a new class of 7 incoming students are selected to make a four-year commitment to being active citizens in the Charleston community. Our program represents one of only a small handful of urban Bonner campuses in the country. We look forward to getting to know you through this process!
